TD-380 CNC Panel Saw | 3800 mm Beam Saw

Overview

The TD-380 is the longest-travel model of the Tuodiao CNC beam saw range. With a 3800 mm working length and a 120 mm cutting thickness it takes oversized and jumbo engineered boards that shorter beams cannot handle, and it cuts taller stacks per cycle when the order mix is dominated by standard formats. Like the rest of the range it positions, clamps and cuts automatically once a cutting task is entered or imported, holding ±0.1 mm panel accuracy.

Structure and Accuracy

The 15 kW main saw and the 2.2 kW scribing saw are driven by separate motors: the scribing saw first cuts a shallow groove into the underside of the panel and the main saw follows, which prevents chipping on the back face of double-sided laminated boards. The clamping beam and the main saw raise and lower automatically according to cutting thickness, so an operator does not re-set the machine between different board stock. The carriage is servo-driven and returns at up to 120 m/min. Feeding uses a manipulator built on a high-precision reducer with ground rack and pinion. The rubber-padded gripping structure can clamp panels as small as 34 × 45 mm, so small offcuts are still held along the cut line, while the air-cushioned ball table keeps jumbo sheets easy to slide and protects the panel surface.

Software and Line Integration

The control system runs on an industrial PC with Tuodiao’s own cutting software and open data ports. It imports the cutting list of a cabinet order from a wide range of order-splitting and nesting programs, optimises board yield and records the result, which digitises the cutting stage; Tuodiao optimisation software can be added. The TD-380 works as the sawing station of a cutting line, linking with front or rear loading manipulators, a board store and the downstream edge banding and drilling workstations for continuous production in custom and panel furniture manufacturing.
