Applications
Overview
The W5-1632 five-axis gantry machining center has a slatted table with vacuum fixation and an HMI console. It completes several standard or profiled operations in one setup and suits both small and large joinery workshops machining flat profiled parts or small batches of standard parts.
Five-Axis Advantage
Travel is X 3200 / Y 1600 / Z 240 mm with A and C axes swinging ±130° / ±320°. The Weihong control supports five-axis interpolation, tilted-plane and 3+2 machining, and RTCP tool-centre-point control, so the spindle can approach the workpiece from any angle. Angled holes, edge holes, contour milling and engraving on flat parts are all finished from a single vacuum clamping, without re-flipping the panel or building custom fixtures.
Vacuum Fixation and Loading
Six manually adjustable suction rails slide along the X axis, each carrying 3 cup feet that adjust over 1200 mm in Y — 18 cups in total — backed by a Becker 250 m³/h vacuum pump and 2 main vacuum zones. Four pneumatic lift pins in the double-station area raise heavy or large panels for loading and lower automatically under NC control.
