T-E5 Six-Sided Drill | 1 Upper + 1 Lower Drill Packs, Dual Spindles
The Tuodiao T-E5 six-sided drill has one upper drill pack plus one upper spindle and one lower drill pack plus one lower spindle, completing six-face boring and front/back grooving in a single clamping. Output reaches 1.5-2 panels per minute; the smallest part is 35 x 70 mm, so a whole order runs in one sequence — scan the barcode and go.

Applications
Overview
The Tuodiao T-E5 is a CNC six-sided drill configured with one upper and one lower drill pack, driven by a 3.5 kW spindle above and another below. It completes six-face boring and front/back grooving in a single clamping. The machine runs on an EtherCAT bus AC servo drive, suits multi-shift production, is quick for an operator to learn, and reaches 2-2.5 panels per minute. The smallest part it handles is 35 x 70 mm, so a whole order can run through in one sequence. Air-bearing holes cover the infeed and outfeed tables so the panel is not damaged as it slides; long Y-axis rails give the highest machining rate, while dual clamps and an automatic side clamping device hold the part steady in travel.
Drill Packs and Spindles
The upper drill pack carries 12 vertical drills plus horizontal drills - 4 in X and 4 in Y - and the lower pack carries 6 vertical drills. A 3.5 kW upper spindle and a 3.5 kW lower spindle handle profiling and grooving on the front and back faces, so this machine covers six-face boring, front/back profiling and front/back grooving. Each face has its own 150 mm dust extraction port.
Grippers and Drill Packs
Both the grippers and the drill packs are patented designs, working in a through-feed layout: the panel enters at the infeed, is machined, and leaves at the outfeed without being reclamped part by part. That is what lets a single machine hold a continuous 2-2.5 panels per minute.
Software Integration
The open interface reads XML, BAN, MPR and other formats and connects directly to the nesting software used upstream. No programming is required for production - scan the barcode and run.
How It Differs from the T-E12D
The difference between the T-E5 and the T-E12D six-sided drill is the number of drill packs: the T-E5 has one upper and one lower, the T-E12D two upper and one lower, with the two upper packs splitting the panel left to right. The T-E12D therefore carries more drills and draws more power (approx. 23 kW against approx. 17 kW) and needs more floor space. For standard hole patterns where single-machine value matters, choose the T-E5; for dense hole patterns where you want fewer drill-pack moves, choose the T-E12D.
